CHARLES MILLER JOINS CAMPUS SAFETY PRODUCTS AS CHIEF OF STAFF
RhinoWare Team Welcomes Retired LEO, Current NC Representative
Jacksonville, NC—Campus Safety Products (CSP), creator of the award-winning RhinoWare Lockdown System, is pleased to announce the appointment of the Honorable Charles “Charlie” Miller as the company’s Chief of Staff.
Miller, a veteran law enforcement officer and public servant, joins CSP after his retirement from the Brunswick County (NC) Sheriff’s Office. A native of Southport in Brunswick County, Miller joined the sheriff’s office in 1987, enjoying a long tenure until he resigned in 2001 as Chief Deputy to serve as a Nuclear Security Specialist at North Carolina-based utility, Progress Energy. Following a seven-year stint at Progress, Miller returned to his former job as Chief Deputy at the Brunswick Sheriff’s Office, where he worked until his retirement last month.
As Chief Deputy, Miller was responsible for operations, including all financial and personnel matters of a department of 250 sworn officers and professionals, as well as over 300 volunteers.
In addition to his public service as a law enforcement officer and leader, Miller served on the Brunswick County Board of Education from 2006-2020. In 2020, he resigned in advance of his successful run for the North Carolina House of Representatives, taking the District 19 seat that covers both Brunswick County and New Hanover County.
Miller sits on six current select or standing committees in Raleigh, including Education, Appropriations, Energy and Public Utilities, and Transportation.
